Disney World: Raglan Road

Downtown Disney and the Pleasure Island area have plenty to offer without the price of a park admission ticket.  Our team from work had reservations at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, and we raced to get there against a torrential downpour taking over the area.  It was the perfect shelter from the storm.

There, entertained frequently by Irish dancers, we noshed on Appetizer D’Lirrah, a platter wish delicious goodies like hot wings, ribs, and sausages.  I also ordered a pear cider to drink.  I was hooked on pear cider during my Disney trip!

For my meal, I ordered the Banger & Booz - Guinness & onion bangers on mash, topped with caramelized onions & beef stew.  I felt like it was good to pick something along with the restaurant theme.  The beef stew was delicious, and the portions were so deliciously generous I could barely finish half the plate.  It was quite salty, but not in a bad way.

But then, desserts!  Since a few of us were sharing, we indulged in some of the strawberry apple crumble (yum) and the AWESOME bread & butter pudding.  Bread pudding is another dessert I've been loving lately.  This one was super good and moist, and came with two delicious creams to pour over it.

If you're wandering around Downtown Disney and looking for a good place to have a beer and some Irish fun and food, Raglan Road is a sure thing.

  1. Haven't been to Downtown disney in a while but that Bangerz and Booz looks TOTALLY worth it. It's getting a total overhaul so I cannot wait to see what's next for DTD

  2. The construction definitely makes cab drop-offs and walking around stuff all take a little longer.
